First opportunity for studio!!!!

So I'm really excited, my college has a photography studio and tonight I'm gonna get to mess around in it!! I'll have a model (dragging my boyfriend along...teehee) and I also want to try a few still life ideas for the safety challenge.

The studio has two softboxes (hanging from the ceiling on a grid system) that are set up as slave flashes with optical trigger, so that means that I have to use either my onboard flash or my 220EX for additional light. Also, there are some overhead flourescents that can be turned on or off. Do all you genius people have any lighting setup ideas I should try? I have a few, but I'm not sure how well they'll work out.

(In other, equally exciting news, my website is now complete as far as coding goes!! I just have to add information and update my portfolio.)

Well, mostly notepad (textedit, mac equivalent) and photoshop elements (I somehow got 2 months out of my 1 month trial, yay!). Some of the imagemaps were done with dreamweaver, but the rest of it was done by hand.

I really like the whimsical scrolls ... reminds me of scrapbook paper! Were those done by hand also? You've done a great job with the website ...

Those were brushes...I'll dig out all the links for them eventually :)
