On the DC GTG yesterday, I got to try out my new lens. Now comes the critiquing part and learning how to really put it to best use.

Here are two of the first results. :)

Those are good bug shots there. I like the little "heart" behind the bee in that one. I know the feeling as it must be about the same as when I got the 105 2.8 Micro Nikkor. It opens a whole new door into many little worlds that you could see but just couldn't photograph the way you see it. A good monopod would make it a lot easier to shoot at lower shutter speeds and smaller aperture without crimping your ability to move around with the set up.

Macro takes a whole lot of getting used to. I know I've got a long way to go with it. You've certainly got a good piece of kit there and, it appears, no shortage of ability to use it.
