Hi, I was wondering if there was a major price difference in Canon and Nikon lenses. I mean, the cost of the camera is a one time deal but the lenses are what will really make everything expensive. basically what Im asking is, does a certain manufacturer make better lenses for the money. For example, is a 50mm 1.8 lens cheaper made by Nikon or Canon. Also, is Minolta glass the same value as canon/nikon. Minoltas dSLR is expected out this fall, and it should be interesting to see what happens to the market. Id appreciate any answers. Thanks.

here's what I googled (and you might want to edit your commas ;0 )
Canon Lens
Nikon Lens
In this case the Nikon is more expensive. As for Minolta...well, I own a proffessional film SLR oftheirs and the lenses are generally lower prices than the Canon or Leica lenses i have seen.
Hope this helps,
Lee
