| I made my decision yesterday and bought a 300d with my insurance money. I got the kit and also the 75-300 lens and the wired remote. Probably going to get the 420ex too, but will get that from B&H since it is almost $100 cheaper than my local store. I have been playing a lot so far with it and am heading to a HS baseball game today to take some more pics. I am sure I will have lots of questions for all of you and want to say thanks. |

congrats! Hope to see some shots soon. How much did you spend for the 300mm lens?

i have a canon 75-300mm f:4-5.6 III - i paid $200
saw it at amazon.com just now for $189.
you can definately spend more money - but for starters its not a bad lense.

Our local camera store sold me the 75-300 for 199 since I was also buying Digital Rebels. (My roommates was also stolen). I have seen it a bit cheaper at B&H, but having it in my hand is so nice. Just came home from a HS baseball game and am amazed at how good the shots look.
I will post some once I know how to do so and where I can post them. |
