What's all this with Australians having fun?
...And some dark night, when everything
Is silent in the town
I'll shoot those tyrants one and all
I'll gun the floggers down...
Oh.
OK then, have fun... :)
I keep forgetting that the intranet at work does that 3 times thing - heh.

Hope you guys saw this on their blog page...
Hi Rebecca, yes, you're welcome to use photoshop.
And re. whether you can buy more of the objects to add to the photograph - no, we ask that you only use the object you have received in the box (and don't duplicate with extra objects). Hope this makes sense |

Are they saying....for example....the bubbles...you can only use the bubbles and the container...no other subjects...or just no other bubble containers?

I would understand this to mean that you are to use only one of the items supplied.
So don't go and purchase more tea lights for your shot as they only want one tea light to be used. No extra red ribbon, just the one supplied. etc etc.

The instruction sheet in the box states the following:
STEP 2
...... Upload File Size: Files must be high resolution 300dpi only.
Image size - min 500kb capped at 10mb.
But doesn't give measurements so I gather that means that anything goes.

Here is the link to last years winners '2007', re the email about this years composition. This will give you a much clearer picture of what is accepted.
I did notice some of the winning images with multiple yellow stickers, but maybe they were given multiple yellow stickers in there box last year. I just look at the clip again, and yes, they were given multiply dots/yellow stickers, and also multiple boxes
The winning entries from the 2007 Australian Canon photo composition.
I hope this helps, as it helped me a lot with what I can do.

I am hoping to take some photos for this competition today. I hope they turn out ok.
Guess what, I had a wonderful surprise yesterday, as one of our dear 'Aussie' DPC friends came to visit.
Nick, Nixter was here in Caloundra, and here in my home. It was great to finally meet him, and yes, he is really a COOL guy.....
Here is a link to see a couple of photos.

Is everybody uploading their photos?
I'm rather puzzled as you can see the entries that have been uploaded which seems rather odd for a contest.
Not that I'm going to be a winner, but should you upload now or just before the comp closes?
What have others done? |

I uploaded mine on the first day. I thought I read somewhere that they are only taking a certain number of entries, so I wanted to get in quick. I had a look at the gallery too, mainly to see if mine were there. There are some good entries and some not so good lol |

I have looked at a number of shots from the competition and of all the photos I have opened I have only seen one professional entry. Seems you would have a better chance of getting in the finals as a professional compared to the amount of entries for amateur.
Are we all going to show our entries here after they have announced the final five for each category? Would be interesting to see what we all came up with. |

I have been checking the entries out too. I found one in umbrella that i think will be a finalist. I havent looked at all of them yet though.
I will show mine once finalists are announced.. although you can see each others entries already if you are clever :) |
