how is Red doing, has she made a decision one way or the other. Hopefully she is staying STAY STAY STAY, if not, then you need to find a replacement before rollover tomorrow night and inform Dirt Heini.

Anyways, the Doc visit went well (ish)she stuck a needle in my hand and finger and drew blood, coud'nt feel a thing. She actually thinks it is all to do with my neck, so went off to get xrays. So we will see in a few days. Thanks for asking Heini.

anybody staying up for rollover? I am juiced from the coffee H sent me! I'll go wash my truck and be back in 20 minutes, maybe wrestle a deer in my yard as they feed from the fallen apples. I defrosted the freezer and cleaned the whole fridge!
I could lesson plan clear into the next semester, Na...I'll alphabetize my canned goods.

I think my portrait might squeek in with a 5 or mid 5 range based on my consultants.

Well, a live snake sucks ;) My cat just thought it would be nice to contribute to my dinner grilling by leaving the bottom half of a chipmunk , it was not alive, but did spoil my appetite. October fest is in full swing - prost -

Rollover and I got 1 vote (5) woo hoo. PS my color bw did an amazing jump from top 10 bottom to top 20 bottom inching in at over 5.0, it has been at 4.7 all week until 30 min ago. I hopr your first vote are more the 50/50.

No, I just barely made it into the 5.0, you got a 5.87 + and made it at top 31 - excellent job - also I have just had over 70 entries, you have 240+ Oh master of photography :)
I was going for the bummer entry, but liked my shoot better for the BW entry, but there where some technical flaws as well as the lack of "color" and I took a long shoot with a short outcome.

After looking through the entires for the portraits I think we should have a good shoot this week. (Hope fully I will get a little better then my current standing... )

Figured I'd post this here, too, since I mentioned you guys.... :-) And you do realize it's all in good fun, right? But I do wish I'd entered the other shot.... If my score is gonna suck, I'd rather it be with a shot I like but know will do poorly.

I'm SO kicking myself right now. I have a shot that I specifically thought about, planned for (in my obscure way) and managed to get kinda close to what I had in mind, and I didn't enter it because I knew it would score poorly. Had I known the one I DID enter would be a low-5'er, I'd definitely have entered my non-DPC friendly but very deliberately captured for this challenge shot. All my current consultants are hereby fired! (That would be you guys on Team Germany!) :-)

We got more than a few points - we're in 7th, I think, but I can't quite figure out the whole scoring and placement thing. But we done good! And congrats on the top ten bit!!

Ooops - for some reason I saw Steve's shot and thought it was yours from our discussions earlier in the week. But fear not - I have a lovely collection of shots in the 5.0 range and will continue to add to that collection, despite my vast number of entries to date... :-)

Melethia - I think your score is way!!! underrating your shoot. I'm not sure what is going here with the scoring but I'm quite frustrated with the scoring in this challenge. One third of the entireties are not studio shoots, at least some shoots emulate studio shoots with natural light and yet the ones that did exactly what the challenge calls for are getting low 5's (myself included) The shoots are technically well performed as well as show creativity. In your case the setup was very creative and expensive. I relay do not understand your low score. Well enough for my vent - there is a discussion about the studio stuff in the current challenge forums - Congrats Juliet if you are scoring well, it is well deserved, your shoot was one of my fav along with Melethia's. How is the rest of the team doing?

edit: Score - mine is a 5.12 with 32 votes - gone down from 5.25 in the last 4 votes

Well, not so good.
I made a last minute decision to submit the other shot in portraits, as I could not get a clean good handle on the Yellow tones. 5.35 currently
