I have decided that seeing as I am stuck in corn fields and my connection to the internet is so darn slow. That it would be a better idea for Heini to be the Captian this time around. I have served as Captain the last two times and I think it is time to step aside and let the reigns be taken by someone else.
So Team Germany, with much pride, I offer to you your new Captian.

I "allowed" all membership requests in Google Group.
No clue I had to do that, but it's done.
I guess we're all going to learn how to use it.
If it will not work we can always fall back to e-mail and our portfolio workshop.
I'm looking very much looking forward to an other Olympics and the exchange and cammeradery in this team. Welcome  dsterner to the German team. You'll find it to be a very encouraging open group to exchange ideas and tips.
So yes, let the games begin.

I noticed that our banner appears very small on our pages and after some fiddling, I posted the URL that appears from the properties option when viewed full size from your link...if that makes sense? ...to the insert image option in My Preferences editing.
Huge congrats to Deb Fort on being the photographer of the week!
I am really looking forward to this tournament and the chance to get2know you guys. |

I tried as well and didn't work. I only got he miniature thumbnail I have on my page.
If I try the image option with the compelte URL, I get the image-not-found symbol. |

Right click on the banner as it appears in our thread ...it will end with the ...copyright image bla bla bla. Copy that and in your preferences, select the option "insert Image" the paste the url in the pop up box...
hehehe I am lurking here from school and just happened to see this ;) |

It's the one starting 9/17.
Some hefty discussions around the scoring method going on.
Good teams will scor well, regardless of the method you're using.
So I don't get the lengthy discussion.

Why the question now, you feel you're not up to the challenge?

Yeah, why don't you pick on me so Juliet has some more time to take good pictures and beat ya.

Glad to hear! I didnt think i was in the russian thread! =^)
Ive known enough Germans to know theyve got a sense of humor. They just cant communicate it over the web! Of course neither can anyone else! =^D Besides, what fun are these tournaments if you cant harass people (Juliet has taught me this)! |

I made the mistake opening the picture-page and then copying the URL of the page into my preferences. It's the URAl of the picture itself that has to be used. This one needs to be pulled off the properties of the photo. Hence you need to right-click the photo, open properties and the highlight the link in its entirety.

Almost everyone of our team is now set up in google-group.
The only ones missing is Tim and Juliet.
Unfortunately I don't have access to this from work.

I did get an invitation to a google group, but it was to an e-mail that I do not use for google and I just send a request for permission to join under my google e-mail account. | Yeah, sorry it wasn't an Olympic week for scoring! Not like I'm gonna do that again any time soon. :) I have one in Shallow DOF (with the other 400 or so) and it's at the usual 5.5.... Ah well. |
