you can either pm me the flikr name or you can log into flikr and search for my same email addy I use here (on my profile page) and add me as a contact. Once you are a contact I can invite you to the group. :)

I just noticed that on the "individual jerseys" it says Team Canada II when we are actually Team Canada I. Can this be corrected please if it is not too much trouble?

Hey guys just a reminder, I need someone to PM me with a team captain and a banner. Make sure the size of the banner is 500x81. If it is not then it will be stretched to that size and it will just look funny.

Ok, I have now invited the following people to our flikr group: Alain, Silverhawk, Jeger, and DarkRider. I still need to hear from everyone else please.
We also need to chose a captain apparently. They are mostly just responsible for rallying folks to get their entries in as far as I can tell. Do we have any volunteers or nominations?

I thought  Eyesup was the captain. If you look at the first post of this thread, you will see capt beside his name.
Also, if you look at the DPCO III Roster sign up thread, he is already listed as captain there. |

I think Louise (ivale) is the only one not checked in yet on flikr, and I have sent her a reminder pm so hopefully she will be joining us shortly. :)
Not to be a pain, but jeger do you think you could please change the individual jerseys to show us as Canada I?

Glad to see you all missed me over the weekend :) I had a wedding to shoot and it was a big one, consumed my friday and saturday... and now the MOTB wants a video montage for the grandparents before they leave on wednesday :) good cash but MAN it's alot of photo's to go through and get done in a short bit.
Bassman7, thanks for setting up that flikr group and getting everyone on it! Jeger, thanks again for the jerseys (especially when they say Canada 1...lol)
this is shaping up to be a good one, and I know that this team is going to rise to the occasion!!!

Well team mates, I may not be in this after all. I just read the new scoring thread, and apparently scoring will not be done the way we were told it would be. There is no bonus for achieving a score higher than your average, which was what was supposed to make this a different, and better tourney then then last two were.
That is the whole reason why I came back for this event. I was involved in the first one and did not enjoy it because of stacked teams, sat out the second one because it was not changed. I agreed to this one because that was supposed to be fixed....but it hasn't been fixed. :(

Dont' suppose we can convince you to stay??? The Scoring may not b quite to our liking... but then is the point only winning or learning... I would like to think more about learning, and if that's the case win or loose, good or bad scoring, doen't really matter... and hey, no reson that we can't make a good go of it :) |

It is not really the winning vs losing, it is that in the first dpco which I was involved in, there was little interest after the first 4 weeks when it was obvious that one team was dominating....it was sort of a fizzle out. It was not as much fun.
So the whole idea with this one was supposed to be that you are competing against yourself to some extent, against your average. If you beat your average, no matter how low or high it is, then you are helping your team more, and it made it a much more interesting scenerio. However after promising this would be done, then having everyone sign up thinking that would be done...it is not done? That makes no sense to me and is a blatent misrepresentation that I quite simply cannot put up with based on principle.
I apologize to all my team mates because it is nothing against you folks at all, you are a great bunch of canucks...but this scoring needs to go back to what was promised when we all signed up. If no one does anything about it (continues to participate regardless of having the rug pulled out from under us) then people will continue to do things like this. If people stand up for themselves and demand it be done they way it was promised to be, then people will think twice before doing things like this.
