Took me 4 goes but it was a bit easier back in 2002.

My first ribbon was on my 12th entry, and it was a blue! Abstract was the closest I've come since, and that was 12th place. I'm gettin closer though! :-)

Nr. 43 for my first and only ( 2 out of 12, but 5 were DQ). The nicest April Fools' Days I had in years.

I'm on challenge #43, no ribbon yet. I have one honorable mention for some silliness, but nothing for the good stuff. I do have a couple over 6.00. Lately I'm snake-bit, and have had a hard time cracking 5.00. I have a lot to learn...and it's hard to see progress sometimes...so I'm mostly just trying to have fun and not get too disappointed if the voters don't see things my way. Hate those durned trolls and their 1's, though!

I joined in September 2004. I layed dormant until I entered my first challenge in July 2005. I had my second entry underway when there was a thread for 6 free memberships. I put my hand up in fun...but they knocked me back as I hadn't entered enough challenges to warrant a lengthy stay. A week or two later a member sent me a free membership....he still lays low on here. The very next member challenge after I accepted the membership happened to be the Nude Challenge...go figure....so my first Member challenge scored me a 6.6.

I continued entering every challenge I could and on my 51st entry I took blue.

I now have 370 entries under my belt, with 17 ribbons and 29 top 5's.

110...give or take some..hard to count. I am at 153 challenge entries as of now...I barely miss them, but I know if i slowed my pace, I would do alot better.

This would make a good book,
DPChallenge 2008 - (My First Ribbon)
Each page would have The Ribbon Photo and Title, The Photographer's name,
and The Number of Challenges it took to get the ribbon.

Ooh, I'd buy it. Bonus--below the ribbon-winner, their FIRST image for comparison :D

Let's see. I joined January of 2004, have entered 220 challenges. Still... no ribbon.

Not kidding. A ribbon on my second challenge entry. I though, "Damn, this is easy. Let me do that again".

26 challenges later, with one 4th place HM to show for it, I'm thinking it ain't as easy as that. In fact, I'm about to end up with my first sub-5 entry...I think.

I just want to try to keep moving up but since there are so many unnamed rules of etiquitte out there I'm pretty sure I'll just keep being down here at the bottom lol
