Dangit! I have a great shot for Overexposure, but I need to clone out some wrinkles in the background unless anybody knows how to get fold lines out of mylar. I figured you couldn't iron it.
Sigh. Two hours of work down the drain... |

Hanging some weights from the bottom (if it is hanging) and playing the heated air from a hair-dryer over it might soften it enough to relax out the wrinkles ... otherwise gently heating it (as above) and clamping it under a flat piece of wood or something might press them out.
Now that I think of it, you might be able to iron them out if you use a few layers of cloth between the iron and the mylar.

Is it the thick 'plastic' type mylar, or a mylar coating?
If it's the thick plastic mylar you can iron it on a low setting, but be sure to put cloth between it and the iron. You can also pour boiling water over it which softens it up nicely.
If it's a coating (e.g. on sails), I'd be inclined not to do anything as it may seperate the layers.

| Hmmm, thanks for the ideas. I may try a few tomorrow and see if I can get a shot in under the bell. Otherwise, I'll just wait and then post the advanced editing outtake next week. |

Well, basic editing is about the method, not the result, and you are allowed to use levels.
Just do this again...
