| Any users of PSP X2 here? I use Windows XP (seems like they should get along -- in title anyway). Three times in two days the thing has crashed in Curves. If I click and drag a graph point too long, I get: "Unknown error occurred..." It shows up in red. Argh! |

I have both X1 and X2 installed. I have the same issue with X2. It does seem far more crash prone than X1 is. Same sort of crash, though I seem to see it mostly when I try to perform a crop after I've been using the program for a while. This is on a 5 year old Athlon 2000 with 1.25Gb ram. I tend to stick with X1, unless I need a feature that X2 has. No problems on my Dell with a core 2 duo at work.
Interestingly, there is a similar discussion going on in the PSP group on flickr right now. I originally thought it was just a conflict with my own PC, but I am now finding quite a few others are experiencing these crashes with v12. |

| I use PSP X2 and have had no problems to date. I work on a CHEAP compaq laptop (cost me $400 3 years ago)...I even have the neat image plugin for it and have had no problem.....fast as a rocket ship. |

Frustrating. I also occasionally crash on cropping -- especially if I'm rotating. Today I got a "parameters out of range" error, or some such. At least it recovered. Might be time to look into Photo Shop. Maybe I can write it off as a business expense! |

| I'm going to see if corel has any updates that may address this. If not, it's time to write them and offer to submit crash details to help them fix it. It's now clear that it is not an isolated thing. |

I use PSP X2 all the time, with windows XP, and I've never had it crash. Having said that, I don't use curves that often, because I just don't find it works all that well. Very small fiddly changes to the graph make huge changes to the image, and I prefer the much finer control of, say, the histogram levels adjustment (limit points, gamma and compression). However, the normal histogram levels adjustment isn't available as an adjustment layer, which is annoying, so occasionally I do have to use curves for this.
Anyway, I hope you manage to get this issue resolved.

Are you talking about something that functions differently from this?
