Do you "see" DPChallenge the way I do? Here's a screen shot, look at the profile pics on the left side of the screen:
I love viewing DPC this way because I love being able to "see" the personalities behind the posts. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then each person's profile picture speaks a thousand words about themselves.
Anyway, with the release of Firefox 3 we probably have MANY new Firefox users among us, and I just realized that many of them probably don't see DPChallenge the way I do. This mod was introduced nearly 2 years ago I find DPC to be boring without it.
So check it out. Click here to learn more about it.
Thanks to Jeff Ward, aka smurfguy, for this wonderful addition to the DPC experience.

I use Firefox. You can use this option with IE as well. I actually tried to set up another member who uses IE today with this option...but the IE option was down....I am not sure if it is working now...I may try her setup again tomorrow when I am over there.

Been using firefox all along, but not that mod. Won't work at home, for reasons I cannot figure out, Greasemonkey will show in my list of installed extensions, just won't work. Works on the PC at work just fine, though.

Cool. I didn't know that it was available in IE. The more the merrier! :)
I still wish it was simply integrated into the DPC experience (many other sites show profile pics in conversational areas). I realize not everyone would want it, but that's why we have options in our "My Preferences" page.

I've been using that mod for a while now - I love it.
Now, if only the "new comments" mod would work for me :(

I finally deactivated the "new comments" mod as it hasn't worked properly for quite some time :(

Bizarely when I try to get into DPC via Firefox it shows me the DPC log-in screen - I enter my details and nothing happens - it just shows me the log-in screen again - no error - just ignores it.
Any suggestions ? |

Do you have Javascript turned on? If Javascript is turned off (Or blocked by the NoScript extension that I use) that will be the behavior of many login pages. |

If this feature was built right into DPC, then I'd still be seeing profile pics while using Google Chrome to view the site. (dang, a chink in Chrome's armor)

10 minutes of profile pics then I found the Chrome thread and they are gone for me as well :( |

Hey, I just noticed this thread. Thanks for the mention, David. =)
I haven't used Chrome yet, but a quick google search for chrome user scripts reveals that a utility called GreaseMetal may allow such scripts in Chrome.
I don't have time to play with it right now, but if you do try the script in Chrome. If it doesn't work right off, it may just need a little tweaking. Didn't I have a "lite" version for IE at some point... rummaging around in old files...
ETA: Yes, yes... Here's the Profile Images Lite Version which may just work in Chrome with GreaseMetal.
Again, I haven't played with these, so let me know! =)
