Find a digital photo tutorial on this site or another and create a photo where the result is enhanced by the tutorial. The title of your piece MUST be the URL of the tutorial.
At the end of this challenge, we will have a challenge full of pointers to tutorials all over the web!
Rules: Advanced rules, essential to maintain scene integrity, with multiple exposures permitted to allow following advanced tutorials such as increasing dynamic range. |

I like the idea too, but I wouldnt like having URLs as titles. I think URLs in the image description would be better. Would tutorials include "How'd They do That"s?

Hmmm, pretty cool idea for a challenge....perhaps will get me to acturally perform a tutorial. Kinda like a school class room exercise....let's have the voteing to be a grade instead and give college credit!!!!! LOL |

You're right, I was thinking the URL as title might be awkward too. And more importantly it would not make the nature of the tutorial obvious at first glance.
REVISED PROPOSAL:
Find a digital photo tutorial on this site or another and create a photo where the result is enhanced by the tutorial. The title of your piece MUST be a short name or description of the technique.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: In the image description, you must give the full URL of the tutorial, or bibliographic reference. At the end of this challenge, we will have a challenge full of examples with pointers to tutorials all over the web (or in books)!
Rules: Advanced rules, essential to maintain scene integrity, with multiple exposures permitted to allow following advanced tutorials such as increasing dynamic range.

Neat idea. Seems like "How'd they do that" should be included.
How about create your own tutorial challenge? Take a tip/trick/technique you do and prepare a tutorial on it. I don't know quite how it would work -- (I'm not good at details) but think of all the neat tutorials we'd have access to! |

'Was thinking about doing one of the tutorials in a free study challenge. 'Kinda started already for MFS. I like this idea, to avoid getting I've already seen that a lot of times comments :).

keep the inertia going--bumped for the evening crowd.
How about it...doesn't this sound like a challenge we can all particpate in and learn from. If so, I want this thread to be long so the admins take note! |

I wanted to bump this in response to the call for "Technique Based Challenges".
This is the mother of all technique based challenges because
1) you would base it on a tutorial for a technique
2) it covers a wide variety of techniques all in one tutorial
Best of all, it gives people the immediate opportunity to learn or practice something they specifically wanted to learn or practice.
