Yeah... I am still torn on that... I wanted to hit a used 5D IF the new 5 ever happens but I am torn about the EFs 10-22..... as reports on the 17-40 edges are less then stellar and the 16-35 is just too expensive. I still might but the 50D is an interesting option for an upgrade of my 20D as well.

The 5DII will happen within the next month and probably within the next week - problem for me with getting a used 5D is that the technology is the same age as the 20D - I would like to come forward a few years :- )

The new 50D may well take images with the same quality as the current 5D and costs about the same or less. Tricky call.

Yeah maybe just maybe... but I hate the black tunnel I look thru on the 20D... now if the 50D fixed that so it was closer to a FF viewfinder then it would make a choice easier. Every time I use my film SLR - there is just something breathable about a FF viewfinder.

I think the 5D is FAR better then the 20D with the pixel pitch, weak filter & what not but agree it's an older body. The new one is likely to cost a small fortune and then I gota (figuratively) drop that 10-22 lens with either FF option.

And pay about 1500 bux to pick that range back up again...
