Does anyone have any opinions on the Flipside 200 or 300? I'm considering buying one for general photography trips. I feel like the 200 would be large enough for my needs as of right now, however I think I may buy the 300 to allow room for future equipment purchases.

I haven't tried the Flipside, but I do use the FastPack (350) an awful lot and absolutely love it. The side opening makes it incredibly convenient and access is very fast. One word of caution, the SlingShot is a very bad choice (imho) if you have any intentions of walking a considerable distance. The single shoulder strap makes it very tiring in time.

The FastPack looks like a nice pack but maybe a little too large for my needs. One of the main things I'm looking for in a pack is a tripod holder. Which is one of the reasons the Flipside caught my eye. The SlingShot did seem like it might get a little tiring over a lengthy hike.

I will probably be buying one today, as a matter of fact, and i just did a comparison. Take a look at these picture's 200, 300 and 400 in order.

I don't see that much difference between the 200 and 300, but since 300 is a bit wider, that's the one i'll go with.
My plan is to get it from a bring and mortar store, rather then online, since i can always just return it.
My bag will hold a Nikon D70s, 18-70 lens, 70-300 lens, a flash (another purchase i am making today) and some misc stuff.
I figure that with a 300 i can probably fit one more lens, maybe 2, and that should hold me over for a year.

I am replacing my Slingshot with a flipside because it pulls my shoulder too much.

I like and own the Tamrac Expedition 7x or 8x.
I think it has many more features, that may be better.

I will have the pastpack 250 this wednesday and using it at the AMA-Super bikes that weekend. I will let you know what I think. I really wanted something that would take my laptop as well as it will make air travel easier.

I have the Lowepro CompuRover AW and really like it. I travel frequently for my job and this makes air travel much easier ... keeps my hands free while trying to navigate with luggage and has plenty of room for all of my gear. When it's fully loaded it can get quite heavy though ...
