Hi,
I like to purchase a laptop for editing photos and for everyday use, mostly editing photos. I will install PS2 or PS3, Lightroom, Nikon NX. I would like to ask other members who use laptops for editing fro their recommendations as to what specs should I look for. How much Ram is needed, Hard Drive space, LCD Screen resolution is very important, I like Dell or Toshiba, canĂ¢€™t afford Macbook. Keeping in mind limited budget and this will last me for a while. Thanks in Advance.

i bought a sony vaio recently and am pretty happy with it. not my main editing machine but it seems to serve the purpose well. vgn-nr385e
intel core2 duo 1.8ghz, 2gig ddr2 ram, 200gig harddrive, 15" wide screen display, dvd burner.
screen resolution 1280x800 32bit.
i paid $599.
