I wanted to try here first, I'd rather a DPCer get the camera than some dude in Timbuktu, that is unless the dud in Timbukto wants it for a five thousand dollars, then he might take precedence. No, I just thought of all the places to try first, this would be the place, I want to help out fellow DPCer, that is if possible. I am just putting it up to see what kind of a response I will get, so far though, nothing. Ebay is actually my last resort, I'd rather SELL it than bid it personally.

What's the percentage of Sony owners going to Canon as an upgrade? Pretty high.

hsteg wuold be correct here, just advancing my way in the Sony cameras (that's the memory I have). Let's get real, I am 18 years, old, what make you think I could afford a Rebel. Honestly, I would if I could, but I have a VERY limited budget

Age doesn't really come into it, upgrading to the 717 will (I'm sure) give you more control over your pics, look forward to more (better?) pics when you do upgrade :)

This is true, age doesn't. Yeah, the reasons I want the F717:
1. In my price range
2. Already have large memory sticks for it
3. I have pushed that poor point-and-shoot to it's dire limits, meaning, I have gotten to the point to where I need more functionality that I didn't need when I started last October. It has been a great camera to get me off my feet photographically, but now my photography demands SO much more.
