Today I had one. I had a preview sessoin for the 1 year old I shot last week. I knew mom would love everything and she did. I had pre-sold her on the idea of prints plus a memory book... then I made a collage with a custom-size... that she HAD to have. Well, the milestone for me.........the check..... had a comma. ;)

Thanks so much Karma! Its really been a goal of mine. I'm so glad to hit it this year, makes 2008.........great! :)

Call me, we can chat about how. My 19 year old daughter sat in on the sales session and said she was shocked at how easily I got what I wanted. *giggle*

Congratulations girl. It is an awesome feeling to get the checks with the commas. I am nearly at my next goal....where there is an '0' between a number and the comma.

Congrats!!!! I've been close to that on post wedding sales... but I haven't cross that single sale mark yet... good on you!!!

Congrats! Great milestone to achieve! I'm sure it will just continue to grow! I'm still in the learning, dreaming, wishing stage!

Thanks so much, guys. I got the sweetest email from the client last night after she got home and showed her husband the sample shot that I had printed & mounted for her. They say nobody but me will ever photograph their daughter and they hope I will shoot her wedding one day (she's one). lol

Thanks, Hann! It went something like this:

Client comes in, a video of her session (set to music) is already loaded up on the big screen in the preview room. We sit and watch the video together. I pay attention to which images really catch her breath or make her say wow. After the video we talk about portrait collections and how many poses are available with each. This gives her an idea of how many "favorites" she'll be choosing. Then we start looking at each image one at a time and I let her give each a 1-5 rating (she gave every image a 4 or 5 lol). Each time she gets stuck deciding if a shot is a favorite or not I remind her "if you get the album, you'll have a copy of every image, so you won't lose any". In the end, this client chose our largest portrait package because it included 6 poses and she couldn't narrow her choices lower than that. She then added a 20x20 print of a custom collage I made for her (custom sized so it doesn't fit in any package). Then she added on the album and a DVD of her video. :D
