The starting point was a photo from last year of a pink rose in my mom's flower bed, which was a very nice photo in itself.

Then, I edited it in photoshop, first by desaturating it and colorizing it to a similar color, then running the Diffuse Glow and Film Grain filters, and Auto Levels, Contrast and Color on layers with lowered opacity.

Then, I opened it in NeatImage and ran the filter to smooth it out a bit, and make it look more 'dream-like', and I'm pretty happy with the end result:

I actually like the 1st one just as much as the last. The end result is a good demonstration of how PS can give an image some punch.

I think I like the first one better...especially with just some minor tweaking in PS - contrast and saturation. Nice shot.
