After some research, I'm strongly leaning towards buying an Epson 3800. The specs on the Epson website say that it will print up to 17x22". A review I read said that it would print sizes up to 17x37". Can anyone who actually has the printer tell me what the real answer is? I have a project ready to print that's 31" long, so I'm trying to decide whether to send it out to be printed, or wait until I buy a printer.

I bought my Epson 3800 directly from the company that wrote this report. They are local to me, only a couple of miles away.

As far as size is concerned, your width is definitely limited to 17". The length depends on the buffer size of the printer and the size of the paper you can put into it. Unlike some of the "bigger boys", this printer doesn't print roll paper, it only does single sheets. So the paper has to be pre-cut. According to the company I bought mine from, if you feed it 17x37" paper, it will print that size. I've done 17x25" prints because that's the size paper I buy from them. But I haven't tried anything larger so I can't give you a personal account of the ability to go over 25".

Thanks, David. Exactly what I needed to know.
