So there must be some people out there who have toyed with it. In many ways like any other photography in a dark place but consider these extra rules and restrictions put in place by the park authorities here in Borneo: No tripods, no flash (upsets the bats) and no bright lights.

There were, however, some in place dim halogen lights so it was not pitch black, and by using a tiny 'bendy' tripod as a makeshift 'gorilla claw' (I am so buying one when I get back) to secure the camera on a handrail, I managed to get some shots.

One major question - how to focus? Inevitably I ended up with a small (appx 3.5-5 aperture) and autofocus was a problem with that little light. Manual focus was also a problem when you can't see most of the area you are capturing... any ideas?

My efforts may be posted if worthwhile when I get back... the caves were stunning.
