Well I got my new to me e-bay special Tripod.
Its a Manfrotto 3021BPRO with a 3047 3 way head with the hexagonal camera quick mount plate and Dual bubble levels. It came with a Bogen tripod bag as well. This thing is in MINT CONDITION. I'm not even sure it was ever used.
I have had a little Velbon tripod that I got cheap that I thought was pretty nice(and I will keep around cause it weighs like half what the new one does). But let me tell you that I had no idea what a tripod was supposed to be like till I got this baby.
It is ROCK solid, can extend high enough in the air that I would need a ladder to sight in the camera while at the same time it can layout flat on the floor with the camera within a few inches of the ground, It can be set up on a near vertical to vertical slope and the center shaft can be mounted perpendicular to the center axis(so the camera sticks out to the side for things like overhead shots or shooting around a doorway in a crowded area)
So what does all this wonderfullness and super uber excellence cost. Well mine was $145 plus $20 shipping and I can tell already that I will be able to take better pictures from now till forever for such a small investment. I would recommend this to anyone I know after having gotten this precision machine.

I own two of the 3021's (okay one is my wifes). Fantastic tripod. I got my first one for $65 (Bogen employee purchase, sweet). My wifes is the upgraded version that will go completely flat. I just picked up the new center column for mine, which will allow it to go flat as well. Now if I could find some time for shooting.
Nice pick up, you'll love it.
