Today I stepped out of my home and discovered a little dead birdie on the doorstep, no wounds or anything. At first I hesitated for a while (what to do?), but then I decided to put it in a box and take a photo of it after I came back from shopping.
So I set up my tripod and shot this with natural light at F2.8. Verrrrry shallow DoF, but I like it here!
Sometimes surprises litterally are laying on the doorstep ;)

I found one in my driveway that was being eaten by flies. I think I like your birdie looks better. Quite an eloquent display of tragedy. |

I like the perspective and understand the choice for shallow DOF however think just a touch more to put the entire bird in focus may work better.
Poor birdie. |
