Anyone played with the new Canon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS lens? Or the new 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS lens? The DO one looks amazingly small for its range. Links to the lens below:

Yeah... the DO one looks small at first, but that's when it's at 70mm... twist the ring and watch it grow!

I think that the 28-300 comes out this month
and the 70-300 next month, I think that is what I read! |

Just realize that these aren't going to be inexpensive lenses. The 28-300 will be about 2.5X the cost of a Digital Rebel body. =]

The 28-300 is pretty interesting. Perhaps in about 5 years we might actually have a 14 - 400mm f/2.8 zoom lens, lol

Ouch, I did not see the prices!
Talking about a dream lens...how about a 14-600mm f/1.4L IS lens that's light and only 5 inches long and cost $500... |

What a dream that is!!!
Keep in mind on the prices though!
100-400mm L IS USM retails at 2,400 and sells on B&H for 1,389.95!
So I would take those prices with grain of salt! |
