I noticed that between my local time and DPChallenge time there used to be an hour difference, now I notice there's a two hour difference... Is there a time change due to daylight saving? |

Most of the continental US observes Daylight Saving Time (yes, there is no "s" on "saving"), which started at 2:00am on April 4th (the first Sunday in April) and won't go back to Standard Time until October 31st (the last Sunday in October). |

So we must take that in account in order to submit on time...
Thanks a lot for your answers. |

I know this has been said before, but just so I'm clear - being 5 hours ahead in the UK, can i then submit a photo up until it is midnight EST? Even though the time on the photo would appear as British time i.e. after midnight? |

That's right -- we will take your time zone into account when evaluating the time the photo was taken.
Make sure your camera is set for the time zone in which you are shooting (can be a problem for travelers), and if you have a serious concern, you might take some contemporaneous snapshots -- such as signs or landmarks -- to establish what time zone you're in at the time. |

And for anyone who has their camera in for repair(like myself) check the date when you get it back.
I just noticed the shot I put online with a date of 1980!
