How about a 48 hour challenge every weekend? Ok, maybe not every weekend, but every other weekend.

I like to be caught off guard by the 24- and 48-hour challenges. But I'd like to see more every once in a while. It's been ages since the last one.

Having them be 48 hrs instead of 24 diminishes that hardship. Having them on weekends makes it easier for the really busy people. I think the speed challenges are fun. It doesn't have to be a special occasion like a holiday.

Maybe not EVERY weekend, but done on a random basis. Maybe there could be a code in the site that would randomly pick out wekends. This would still have the unexpected effect I think.

I would stick to 48 hrs max! Otherwise it's just another challenge.
