I placed an on-line order for a hard copy of the upgrade for Lightroom 2.0 on Tuesday of this week. I received an email confirming receipt of the order and stating that I would receive a second email when the product shipped with a tracking number. That email has never come.

I have called their customer service line 5 or 6 times and am automatically placed on hold for long minutes with no answer.

This is really builds friends and influences enemies.

Come-on Adobe, photographers give you a lot of money. Provide some service.......

I received the hot potato treatment form them about a month ago. They all passed me off to different departments after hearing my problem and saying "that's strange".

I'm too impatient to order software that has to be shipped. Most of the software I buy, I buy online and download immediately. Instant gratification. :-)

I can appreciate the desire to download, but if your hard drive goes down your software is gone. That's why I buy the disk.

I finally got an Adobe person on the phone. He gave me a FedEx tracking number.....that is INVALID!!

Poor service continues....

Why would that matter? The registration number will let you download again if you lose your HDD.

Also, I wonder why Adobe doesn't let you download a copy while you wait for the disc since you've paid already.

When you download the software, choose to save the file to the desktop. Then, after you've run it and installed the software, copy the install file to an external HD or DVD. Then you'll have it in case you need it again.

You think it's hard to get a product from Adobe...try getting an iPhone from Apple or AT&T.

Makes Adobe's customer service look stellar by comparison.

Tracking numbers can take a while to show up in the FedEx database. Depending on the type of delivery, the tracking number may be only for use if you never get the package.

I can never figure out where I put the darn disks anyway ... but the serial numbers that I use to activate downloaded software, I have those all tucked away nicely in one location (and backed up off-site in case anything ever happens).
