Has anyone ever been on that train ride? We are going to Pymatuning State Park for a long weekend in August and thought we'd stop one night and part of a day somewhere in NE Ohio. I have three young kids to entertain and thought the railroad might be kind of fun if we decide to stay in the Akron area. Any other suggestions for places to visit anywhere between Cleveland and NW PA? (We are not going to stay in Cleveland because we wanted to drive a little farther than that.) Thanks!

Geouga (sp?) lake park (used to be six flags) is up that way. geneva on the lake perhaps. presque isle state park or waldameer water park in erie, pa are good choices as well.

I thought about Geneva on the Lake and thought it would be cool to stay at the state park lodge but $169 for one night was more than I wanted to spend lol. I am gonna have to look into that presque isle place tho. Thanks!

Hrrmph. Here I was looking for pictures. So I guess you'd better take the train so you can take some pictures, then post them here. :-)

Geauga Lake is now closed. They sold the rides :-( You don't have to stay at the lodge to enjoy Geneva on the Lake. There are hotels on Route 90 which is just 15 minutes away.
