The formula was a direct proportion- the more often you're on this site, the more stress is inflicted. Very cute, guys. So much for the admin's comment that they're just not that bright. I'd guess the scores are just flopped 10=1, 9=2, 8=3, etc.

Nope. Noone's score went up as a result of the change.

So my average of 2.354 is actually a "8" :P

The way I understand it a vote of "1" was added every hour on the hour. And they will be backed out tomorrow.

OMG...thanks for the joke... -_- I was really freaked to see my 6.4836 having dropped to a 5.6495 when I got home a few minutes ago. And of course, the first time I actually TRIED to keep track of my scores...

No. My score went from 4.5 to 5.5. It should be 6.5. Please look into that.

That is correct.

The normal formuls is (Sum of Votes)/(Number of votes)

The April Fools' formula was:

[(Sum of Votes)+(Hour of Day)]/[(Number of Votes)+(Hour of Day)]

The effect of this formula is they every hour, on the hour, every entry on the site appeared to receive an additional vote of 1. These were not actual votes, but were built into the display formula.

Your scores are back to normal now.
