I have a client that needs music for their fashion web site. They are a business so they need to license the music. BMI charges more than what the client is willing to pay so I'm looking for something cheaper than them. I did google some sites but was wondering if anybody here had experience licensing music and which sites you recommend. Thanks in advance.
Just FYI, the client mentioned this site plays the type of music they would want: //www.brianatwood.com.

www.sounddogs.com -- Tell 'em cdrice sent ya'. ;)
Lots of production music as well as sound effects; various lengths/samples/loops/etc. Nice previews online -- some are short (30 seconds of a 2-3 minute song) and if you want a longer preview, you can email them and they'll usually send a low-res mono version of entire songs/sounds for you to compare if you want.
I use them for all my theatre sound design and several radio segments I've made. Just watch your prices -- it's easy to lure yourself into considering a $100+ song when there are $10-$25 songs that would work just fine. ;)
