Hi! This critter just woke up my daughter & she's fairly hysterical. Sorry it's not a better image; I definitely need a macro lens! If you know what it is, I'd love to hear so that I can read up on it.

I'd be hysterical if an earwig woke me up too. They are disgusting and they pinch.
One time when I was teaching a student said, "Uh, Mrs G, an earwig just crawled under your skirt..."
It was walking down the front of my skirt and decided to go up the skirt on the inside. I freaked out and started jumping up and down really hard and running back and forth across the room screaming in order to try to get the thing to fall out. My students thought it was hilarious but I was afraid it was going to pinch me...
Yeah, your daughter should be hysterical.

| I love bugs, but earwigs are one of two that I HATE. Can't say the pinch hurts much, but I simply despise the creepy little critters. We have lots here and they like to hide under damp things, so if you've left a towel on the deck overnight.... yuck!! |
