Canon EF 24-105mm f/4.0L IS

My name is Amanda..... fairly new to the site been on here a few weeks now(I think)!I live near Calgary Alberta in the small town of Didsbury.

I just entered my first challenge for "Hot", and so far I am finding it wonderful around here! Lots of amazing photographers and lots of great learning material.
My husband encouraged me to join up to this site after being encouraged by his co-worker(confusing , sorry..lol). I have very little experience in photography, but I am very eager to learn since the purchase of my first Dslr camera , an Olympus E-410 back in the spring. We bought the Olympus because we were tired of point and shoots that didn't last long(probably because I take an insane amount of pictures when I go to new places). Now that I have this great camera its time for me to learn how to take better pictures and put my creative side to use! Who knows maybe one day I will get really good at this? I will at least have fun trying!

Hi amanda, welcome! i'm also very new here and every day i learn new things. I haven't submit to any challenges yet but just by looking at all the pictures i learn a lot. Have fun and hope to see you soon in a challenge.
