Thanks for addressing those issues.
I just remembered another issue during tonemapping. When I use the sliders they seem a bit touchy, so I tried to type in a number, but before I could complete the number a dialog popped up telling me the permissible range. I believe I tried to change -4 to -3. If I deleted the 4, the dialog came up. If I tried to add the 3 to then delete the 4 the dialog came up. In other words, the range checking took place when I did anything in the box. Perhaps it would be better to do the range check after the complete number is entered.

You are correct that some of the settings can be a bit touchy, which can be bit of a catch22 cause to make them less touchy you reduce the range and as a result reduce the functionality of the operator. We will try to look into coming up with a better way to check for value errors when typing in values. An easy way to work around this is to uncheck the Auto Preview option located at the top left side of the tone mapping when, and your done changing the values re-check it. Thank you Ken.

look forward to hearing what you have to say. We also tried to simplify the GUI so that beginners don't get lost on what they need to do. |

I finally tried out the new beta and couldn't get through my first picture. I tried with 6 exposures, hand-held, with no moving objects. The alignment failed miserably. I manually aligned the second exposure and then went to the third which was even farther off. When I went to type in a number (best guess) to align I got "Run-time-error "13" Type Mismatch.
The alignment in these beta versions isn't nearly as good as the last stable version, IMO. Unfortunately I don't recall exactly which version that was since I updated and couldn't go back. I believe it was 2.5.
Artizen - if you'd like the pictures I refer to let me know, but they're raw, so email won't work.
Edit: Photomatix Pro3 also failed. I really thought it would be easy to align these.
Edit II: Photo Acute nailed the alignment.

Ken: Thank you so much for the feedback, it really helps a lot. Would you be able to email use the files that failed or share them out us somehow so that we can run some tests. We will also look into this bug immediately. |

gotta say to everyone that whilst I usually sing the praises for Photomatix and EHDR, Artizen is now my HDR app of choice.. very nice piece of software. still a long way to go, but I have a whole list of suggestions as to how they can improve it.
definitely worth checking out now.. |

I am very very very interested in HDR techniques. I have downloaded your application and will give it a serious look over ... I am particularly interested in the broad band of cameras that its RAW conversion is compatible with. If it is compatible with a Nikon D60 NEF format, then I will give you a detailed opinion of what I think about it along with the best results that I can gleen from it. I hope to find more advantages than disadvantages, but ... one application can not satisfy EVER photographer.
Good luck in the meantime.

Its ok, just downloaded and installed.
One feature I would like to see that EHDR has, is the ability of the application to detect when multiple images have been dragged into the application, instead of opening 5 seperate images, it would be great if a dialogue box opened asking if I wanted to create an HDR image from the images just dragged`n`dropped. |

Onoe more feature I'd like is the ability for it to run the orton filter without it saying "Run-time error `76` Path not found" then crashing out... :)
Although I am thinking thats a bug.. Happened twice in 5 mins to me. :(

Hi Simms
Just let me know when this happens to you so that i can try and repeat it so that we can fix this bug. We will post the update right away. The drag and drop option works if you drop them into the HDR creation window otherwise it assumes you just want to edit your photos, but that is not a bad idea.

If you are using Vista, you must run Artizen with the Run as Administrator option. |

One other question Simms, do you have a Orton folder located under the C:\Program Files\Artizen HDR\Plugins and if so are there any files? |
