My 350D sometimes (not very often) freezes when I'm using it. The lens still focuses and the settings in the display change (shutter speed etc) but I can't take a picture and I can't turn off the camera. if I remove the battery and put it back in it comes right again. This has happened about 3 times in the last 6 months so it's not a major issue but I wondered if this is something others have experienced?

Does it say buzy in the view finder if you try to press the shutter button?
Do you have have noise reduction set to "ON" in the menu?
Does it happen in single shot mode or burst mode or both?

My old 350 does that.... I still use it as a backup sometime. Its really old and I have well over 30,000 photos with it so I think it maybe just an age issue with the shutter....... maybe the shutter is own it way out soon.

This happens if I use it for hours during a whole day. The first time it happened I was during a shoot and it locked up could not do anything I removed everything lens, battery and flash then it was ok. Has not done it in a long time but again I dont use it much......

It doesn't say "busy" in the viewfinder. Noise reduction is not on. I have the camera in burst mode 99% of the time so I can't say if it happens in single shot or not.

I think I'm close to 20,000 clicks.
