You know the type of mirror that won't cause double reflections when you place an image on it and take a picture...what is this thing called...

Like what IreneM used for this:

I think this is what she used.

I remember this image that used a regular mirror: and I want to get rid of the double reflections.

That particular shot appears to be lit from underneath so I'm guessing it is just sitting on a regular piece of glass.

Sorry, don't know the name of the type of mirror you are looking for.

IreneM told me she spray painted a pane of glass with white paint. the painted side is the underside. I use it a lot and call it my secret weapon (NOT so secret anymore). You need to light it from the under side as it is held up with tall glasses or something and shoot from a low eye level. It's a lot of fun to play with. Have fun...I have had a blast with this "secret weapon" for better scores.

you can get front sided mirrors from stain glass shops / I.E. Delphi Glass
very fragile, dust prone + easy to scratch .. i'd use it more if it was easier (cheaper) to ship ...

All I have to do is get a piece of glass and spray paint it white? This eliminates the double reflection? Wow...too easy...thank you for the secret ;-)

Thank you for sharing. I was going to hit up IreneM for some tips at some point, this knocks a big one off that list. :)

I did. :) And Irene said she also holds a piece of opaque paper underneath the glass, then fires the flash through the paper.

Thanks for sharing the TIP. Sounds like something fun to try and will help me learn more about lighting, setup, and POV on setup shots.

Now off to design a light box with a glass bottom...tomorrow I will have to make a run to the hardware store for some PVC pipe and fittings :)

Wow, are you putting a bath in the lightbox?
