I found some good info I want to share.

Here is a video to do a quick front/rear focus test. It uses Excel on your monitor, I like how you can use the screen pixels to determine sharpness.

Here is a crappy video on how to fine tune focus on your D300. With a good long list of adjustments this guy has made at the end of the video.

Here is a really good read on how auto focus works. It̢۪s based on the D70 but can be applied to all. And has test prints on the last two pages.

I was wondering if anyone has fine tuned any of there lenses and what settings you used for them. I am going to start testing mine tonight and will post back any results I get for my gear.

And has anyone found a good list of adjustments online I looked and could only find bits of info on different lenses.

Scott.

I'm at work right now, but will have to check those out. I have been reading forums about the D300 which I just got and found out about some in camera focus adjustment. I don't understand what it does, but I'd like to know a little more about this, I read somewhere where they put the focus to +15 to make their shots a lot sharper. I'm wondering if it would do the same for mine with my lens.
