Quick question for anyone that has/knows.

Do they only communicate with other sat phones? or can you call/receive calls from landlines/mobile with it?

thanks

I believe that you can call landlines/mobiles, but it's expensive, around $1-$1.50 a minute.

Can call anyone/receive calls from anyone if you want to pay the rate. The one we use is most expensive when I am in Ireland for some reason and least expensive when used in Germany (both based on calls sent to/received from the USA). From Brazil it is identical to regular land line usage rates. So it depends on provider (like anything else) as well as where line is based and where call is to/from regardless of physical location of phone. Just like a lot of cell service (only global coverage with the right service) and much more expensive.
