lol, best £37.50 ($75us) I spent this year was an annual pass to the Zoo! Have had several nice trips there and even popped in for 30 mins for a recent challenge (2 of my top 4 images are from there).

There is no zoo in Newfoundland!

Sound like a good idea to me. And I think a day on the farm would be a cool challange too.

I'm with you Andi - three of my top five shots are from our local Zoo, as was at least one previous shot from my top line : )

A season pass is great - although thinking on it I haven't actually been there for a while . . . hmmm . . .

The local zoo is small and depressing... :-(

Just went to the Bronx Zoo--all the animals were lying in the shade becasue of the heat, even in the Africa displays. September or October may be a better time for this challenge. Unless you want the challenge to be "Worlds Laziest Animal" :)

So is ours, and it's very camera-unfriendly. I'm not easily discouraged.

Anyone else interested?

It would be a fun challenge, but like shannon is saying, our local zoo is super camera unfriendly as well. Lots of fencing and not very good viewing areas. Unlike Shannon however, I am easily discouraged! :)

I don't have a zoo near me unless you call the guys poodle next door behind the "BEWARE OF DOG" sign.

The closest zoo to me is in Helsinki. Not a cheap day out, for sure! The only time I have been there it was a total waste of time. It was really too cold for any of the animals to be outside (it was April!), so the best I got was a peacock picture. :) I wouldn't mind trying it again now it is marginally warmer.

The Toronto Zoo isn't camera friendly either, but I figured so many people submit photos from trips to the zoo, we might as well make it a challenge. :)
