Things in photoshop are appearing darker, then when I view it outside of PS, I see things I never saw when I was editing. Any way to fix this?

calibrate the monitor. calibrate PS for whatever standard. Soft Proof through the View menu may help also, depending on what/where you are going to view it. Works very well on RGB monitor for web based graphics (here on DPC)
