Cracked - Take an interesting photo of something that is cracked, or has a crack in it.

Broken - Take a photo of something that is broken, something old or new, as long as it is broken.

My old camera would work for both of those ;)

These are really good suggestions Shez! I'd have a hard time picking which one to do!

Me to, but I would enjoy both, I think.
I like to see these run 'side by side'
'Basic', but with 'Advanced' rules please Langdon, that is, if he is listening, or reading this thread.....

My personal opinion is that these are "too close" in theme to be "opposing" challenges -- Broken and Whole would seem a more natural pair.

Plus, I see an endless discussion among those who nitpick the topics as to whether something which is "cracked" isn't also "broken" and whatnot ...

If your desire is to compare things which are broken but still holding together vs things currently in pieces, I advise carefully-written descriptions to make your intent as clear as possible.
