My copy of Photoshop CS3, which was only due to arrive by Saturday, earliest, has just landed on my desk!!
I've take it out the packaging, read the box blurb, read the DVD cover blurb, read the installation instructions, even read the postage label! Now I have to wait 6 hours before I get to use it! Maybe I'll just take it out one more time to look at!
It should be law that deliveries of this sort ie. new equipment etc., should only arrive at the end of the day!
Next purchase....a good Photoshop book with all the tricks of the trade. |

| maybe you can take a REALLY long lunch...augh never mind that, you have my permission to go home and come in late tomorrow (you're gonna need it)...if your boss has a problem with it let them know I'm with the military and can send in an Marine unit if required. ;) |

IMHO, internet is always better... tons of good FREE tutorials out there!
but, if you really wanna buy a photoshop book, i would recommend getting Scott Kelby's books!

Just had a look at the link you posted  dwterry. Think I'm going to be spending quite a bit of time in Mama's company in the next week or two! I think I'll heed your advise  rhommel and see what I can find on the internet first. I must admit, I did buy a book for Elements but I have definately not made good use of it, save for the odd thing here and there.
cowboy221977, good luck with the learning. Hopefully we will master our software in a few short months! (Well, at least the basic techniques anyway)
And sabphoto, I might need some backup tomorrow. I leopard crawled out of the office, clutching my Photoshop software and watched for snipers at the windows during my well planned maneuver through the parking lot. Unfortunately, I was a bit of a soft target as the cover of darkness eluded me at 3pm on a sunny afternoon. I might have been spotted by the enemy and will probably face a court martial tomorrow. Watch the skies, I will send a coded message if I need rescuing :-) |
