I'm rather new to this site, so this question may very well have been answered already, but, might it be helpful to show all dq'd entries from a challenge along with an explination as to why they were disqualified? It might serve as a "what not to do" tutorial for newcomers.

As long as you don't post a picture taken outside of the submision dates, steal a picture from someone else, combine images to create one picture during advanced edititing or do any advanced or spot editing on a basic edit contest you won't get DQed...

Well, then there are your standard hate messege type DQs, but I haven't seen one of those since I've been here.

I have zero real knowlegde, but it seems like most pictures get DQed due to being taken outside of submission dates!

I wrote an guide to the DQ process a few months back which might help clear up any queries you have...

Just remember that you also need to check the date on your camera every once in a while. You may have taken a picture within the dates required but if your camera is off. You will be DQd. That has happened before.
