I'm opening this new thread to show you guys the process of the making of my new studio :D

Here's the first photo.. We started yesterday and are painting like *beep* here. A lot of things to do, right now having a break ;)

Pfffff.. what were we thinking? It's a LOT of work, haha.

Here's hubby at work, for portrait-a-week. Not really a portrait, but all I can do at the moment. Project keeps running, even though all my studio-equipment is packed..

Congrats on the new studio! We're in the process of changing locations, so I know how tough and stressful it can be. Good luck!!!

Thanks Cassie!

The new studio is at the house, so we decided to re-paint the whole house at the same moment. Yes it's stressful, but the end-result is gonna be great! :D

We're still painting, so I'm gonna spare you guys all the paint-photos, and get back to you when other (bigger) things happen ;)

The past few weeks it's been quite quiet over here, but today hubby and my brother in law started making the new floor in the studio (and the rest of the 2nd floor and attic). We hope we can finish it tomorrow :D

Hann, I'm so excited for you! You're gonna rock that space and I can't wait to come see!

well here's a new development

The new photowall (2m x 1,5m) for my studio, on the ground. Still gotto move some things around to make everything fit. Tomorrow I'm gonna put some nails in the wall :D This is for the wall on the other side of the shooting side. There's gonna be some of my work in the frames, but also empty frames and I'm keeping some pictures in there (like the Jesus at the left-top, and some other stuff)

The new furniture is almost ready, everything is cleaned up and ready to decorate :D

I still have to wait for the rolling-curtains until mid-september, unfortunately, but that gives me more time to do everything I still have to do ;)

haha the room is still a mess and the men didn't want to be on the internet ;)

I promise I'll make some photos of the room itself, when the things are a little bit more organised ;)

I looked it up (didnt know you were that close!), it's only a 30-minute drive!!

So, today (half-sick but anyway) we finally hung the background-support and we had to saw ± 35 cm from the backgroundrolls (black and white) to make it fit (the space is ± 3 m x 6 m). That went better then expected!

Now I'm gonna clean up a bit, put things away that don't belong there and I'll take photos when everything is DONE! That will be tomorrow.

In about 2 weeks the darkning curtains will arrive and then it's time to start shooting in the studio again! I can't wait :D

Here are some (bad) P&S flashed pictures of the framed-wall and the furniture :)
