Yeah, I know, they have put that on permanent hold, but it was so fun to see the creativity.

I agree, some people are so talented those challenges are great fun to vote on and to learn from.

I'm somewhat of a purist at heart, but I, too, would love to see "Expert Editing" (if only it had a better name) challenges as one of our choices on a regular basis.

Yeah the name is funky. How about "Artistic License Editing" or "Uninhibited Editing."

Yeah I wish we'd have another Expert Editing challenge too. Doesn't have to happen that often but maybe like 4 times a year. Every quarter I don't know?

I agree. I'm still puzzled why the powers-that-be nixed a ruleset that was popular and enjoyed by many.

i was about to say the same thing, couldn't we have a tiny bit of say so, since we pay some money to be here?

Yeah it was a controversial ruleset but many liked it and it would be great to see it every once in a while. And I also think the name "Freestyle Editing" is very accurate and great name for the ruleset.

Yup. She visited here for several days, and lemme tell ya I was on my BEST behaviour from the moment I laid eyes on her. And it's from firsthand knowledge that I added the "runs for shelter" parenthetical comment :-)

I would love to do an Expert Editing Challenge again....are you game Langdon?????
07/02/2008 07:52:17 PM · #23
Maybe with so many people liking it, there might be another one in the future. I do like "Freestyle Editing" as the name. That is perfect. There is a "digital art" category so why not fill that baby up??

I agree it's high time for some serious 'no holds barred' challenges with some freestyle photoshopping. even though I suck at photoshop.

I'll add my vote as well. It's time.
