What are you going to wear for Canada Day?

So how are all you Canadians here going to show the love for our country?

here is how I am:

plus I have a giant Canadian flag I will be fashioning as a cape. I got the red shorts in the ladies section at walmart for 8 bucks. I may paint my face as well, still haven't decided

and I am also sportin' my keg

We have a bunch of 3"-wide ribbon printed with flags, Canada fake tattoos, lil toothpicks with flags, red and white curly ribbon, a jester's hat and an umbrella hat with flags, a proper-sized nylon flag and assorted red/white clothing. We usually throw something together on the day :)

Though this year I'm not sure how much we'll have time to do... hafta play it by ear.

Oh, and Dustin... you're wearing the women's shorts for Dragball, I presume? ;)

Nah, I don't get dressed up for Canada Day. I'll stick a few flags in the flower box out front. Our big party will be tomorrow, it's my partner's 40th birthday. We're having a big party here (30 people) with lots of decorations, some sure to embarras him!

EGGZACKLY! I have a folder in my portfolio from last year, titled Victoria Pride. It's the kickoff to Gay Pride week here, and it's a total blast! :)

Dustin, I'm not sure if I'll be able to go or not, though I want to. Depends how much we can get moved tomorrow, I guess, since we leave for Calgary on Thursday.

Yup, I'll just look for the weird one dressed like Super Canada Guy, aka Soup Can Guy :) Then again, at dragball you'd probably look positively normal!

sigh, I'm not going to make it, though. We still have loads to move, and tomorrow Beck's b/f is off work so we're going to make him help with heavy stuff.
But I AM going to take towels with me and enjoy my hot tub for the first time! :D

Don't ask for pics...you may be surprised.

The real joy for me on Canada Day is not the patriotic flag waving or the fact Canada is a cool place (pun? yes!), for me it's the day off, period. That's the only reason I like today. :D

Sigh... I spent Canada Day hauling boxes from this house to the new one, packing more boxes, running errands, phoning utilities, etc etc ad infinitum. Not even a drop of booze in compensation!
But at least I get to have fun this coming weekend :D
