Hi
I have read that at iso 800 noise correction steps in which lets the picture and camera down, is this only on jpeg, surely the noise reduction does not activate in RAW mode
Hope you can help thanks

Yes noise reduction kicks in at ISO 800. From the menu you have a choice of the strength of NR used; Off (only kicks in above ISO3200, i.e. Hi.1, Hi.2, and Hi.3), Low, Medium, and High.

Edit to add: And yes, noise reduction is always off for raw images which the possible exception of long exposure NR. Personally I have all NR turned off and just handle it with Noise Ninja afterwards. :)
