I can travel there via Albany if you need/want a ride. |

very cool offer ... much appreciated
I can get there ok, it's just 3 hours up - 3 hours back and we most likely won't get more than 3 to 5 hours of shooting in - which is plenty, but when the drive time outweighs the leisure time, I start to wonder if it's worth it.
Plus, it would mean leaving the wife at home all day with the newborn
I'm on the fence. I'll decide when we get closer to the date.

I'd be interested too--my version of the calendar is clear right now, but I don't know about the family calendar yet. |

I put the GTG on my calendar (it is currently open). Count me as a yes (90% probability). |

Two hours away....hmmmm....I'll have to go on the maybe list myself. I will say though that Saturday works good. Once we get an actual date I can narrow that maybe down one way or another. I had fun at the NH GTG, even though I never did anything with the pictures I took. It was fun just getting out and about. |

Richard, it may be a good idea to put a big maybe by my name. I'm really not sure to be able to make it. It's like a 20% chance I can go. Thank you.

We just went to Quechee for the Balloon Festival on Father's Day weekend - it was great. I don't think we will still be here in Mass by Sept though...I'll just keep an eye on this GTG thread just in case. |

LOL, I guess if I actually READ the title I would have known that. *grin* There is a possibilty that I can make it. I don't know about my wife though. I'll have to ask her. |

It would be almost a six hour drive for me, but I might be interested.
Are there accommodations available in the area?
I don't know where Jac lives, but if it was on the way there I would have no problems picking him up.

Ray - There are several places (motels and such) in the general area of Woodstock/ Quechee that might suit your needs. The Quechee Gorge Friendship Inn is right there (price about 119 a night). The Shire Riverview Motel Shire Hotel is a great place right in Woodstock (rooms from 99-150 per night). If you want cheaper, then I would recommend either staying in Rutland VT (about 30 minutes west of Woodstock) (they have Econolodge, Holiday Inn, Best Western, etc) or over in West Lebanon, NH (about 15 minutes east of Woodstock).

I don't know if I can make the GTG but the group might want to keep the Jenne Farm in mind as a potential stop. It's only about 15 minute south of Woodstock and it's touted as the most photographed farm in North America. It's been featured on countless calendars and has been in Budweiser commercials as well a couple of major motion pictures (Funny Farm with Chevy Chase and Forest Gump). I can offer some detailed driving instructions if the group is interested.

Good Idea Del - There are several covered bridges and a couple of beautiful Morgan Horse farms on the way from Woodstock down to the Jenne Farm (and some nice meadows with views of Mt. Ascutney). |

My mother is from Chichester NH, which is just outside of Concord. She's one of nine children. Do you know any Kenneally's (Rosemary, Tom, Dick, Harry, Maggy, Timmy, Steven, David, or Carol)?
