The world of farming has been taking quite a hit of late...between the price of feed and the problems that the weather has been causing...they are struggling. With the flooding here in the Midwest, things are only going to get worse. I thought a good challenge might be a tribute to hard working food producers of the world. |

As an employee in a John Deere dealer, I get a lot of day to day exposure to the farming world.
It's a tough life dominated by hard work and little enthusiasm of the upcoming generations to "take the reins" so to speak for the future.
The skyrocketing cost of fuel certainly does not help.

I would whole-heartedly second that nomination Terri. I grew up in farm country and have a great respect for farmers. I think there are few occupations where you work harder for less rewards.
