I can't remember if this discussion has graced the forums of DPC. Did a search but didn't find anything.

Liquid? or Solid? Apparently neither.

While the article seems to get the science right, it does repeat the common misconception that "... glass begins to sag and distort internally over the centuries, due to the effect of gravity." While the "flowing" or "sagging" is theoretically possible, it would take place over multiple millennia (tens of thousands to millions of years), not over centuries.
