This is actually film, but I think it's my strongest shot that I've ever produced, and I'd love any opinions you have for me. Shot is unedited other than adding a border, and a very slight cropping from the original photo.

As for the dog. She was more than happy to go in there for a minute for me. 'Twas only a minute, and I quickly snapped a few pictures, let her out, and hugged her and played with her a long time. And gave her treats. I love my dogs.

Edited for grammar.

You must have a deeper meaning with this shot, since you titled it "trapped" and your thread here is called "figurative self portrait".

To be honest, just looking at the picture, I do not get the message. I see a dog transport box in a field on a sunny day, I hardly can see whether there is something inside. Composition wise it is clear that the focus should go the the box, there are no distracting elements, but I don't get any message, any feeling at all when I see the picture.

Just my observations.

Ah, I didn't even realize I named it that. Yeah, trapped. Self portrait- that's how I felt when I took the picture.

If you think of it as a self portrait, you have to think of the person taking the picture as the dog, at least, that's how I see it. The person, trapped in a cage, in an open area on a beautiful day. And there is a dog in there, your monitor must be a little dark, 'cause I can see it perfectly.

Maybe it's not as good as I thought. I got an A on it though. :)

And thanks very much for your opinion!
